Calculators Arena publishes free interactive calculators and supporting explanations. This page explains who is responsible for the site, how formulas and data are selected, how tools are tested, and how corrections are handled.
Site Ownership and Responsibility
Calculators Arena is operated by Badar Ashfaq. Software and AI tools may assist with drafting, checking calculations, or writing code, but responsibility for what is published remains with the site owner. We do not use invented expert profiles or claim professional qualifications that we do not hold.
How Calculator Methods Are Selected
Each calculator starts with a defined formula, data source, or ruleset. For tax and regulatory tools, we prefer current government publications. For health and pregnancy tools, we prefer recognised public-health sources and clearly state that results are estimates. For gaming tools, we use official publisher information where available and clearly label community-researched formulas when official documentation is unavailable. Standard maths and conversion tools use established definitions and published conversion constants.
Examples of primary sources used on this site include GOV.UK Income Tax rates, GOV.UK National Insurance thresholds, the NHS due date guidance, and the World Health Organization BMI definition.
How Calculators Are Tested
Before a new or materially changed calculator is treated as review-ready, we check normal examples, boundary values, blank and invalid inputs, rounding behaviour, and at least one calculation performed independently from the tool. Where results depend on assumptions, those assumptions are shown on the calculator page rather than hidden.
Interactive tools are also checked on desktop and mobile layouts. A calculator may still provide an estimate rather than a legally, medically, financially, or professionally binding result. The explanation beside each tool should make that scope clear.
Updates and Date-Sensitive Information
Tax rates, thresholds, game mechanics, health guidance, and other date-sensitive information can change. Pages that depend on current rules should identify the applicable tax year, game version, or review date. When we cannot confirm that a date-sensitive tool remains current, we correct it or remove it from publication until it can be reviewed.
Content Standards
Calculator pages should provide more than a button and a result. Our standard is to explain the method, show a worked example, identify assumptions and limitations, and link to relevant sources where the subject requires them. Repeated filler, unfinished sections, copied material, and unsupported claims are not acceptable publishing standards for this site.
Health, Financial and Religious Information
Health, pregnancy, tax, financial and religious calculators are general information tools. They cannot account for every personal circumstance and are not substitutes for a doctor, midwife, accountant, financial adviser, tax professional, or qualified religious scholar. Read the full disclaimer before relying on a result for an important decision.
Corrections and Feedback
If you find a broken calculator, incorrect result, outdated threshold, unclear assumption, or source that should be updated, contact us at info@calculatorsarena.com or use the contact page. Include the calculator URL, the inputs used, the result received, and what you expected. Reproducible calculation errors receive priority.
