How Palworld Stats Work
Every Pal in Palworld has four primary stats: HP, Attack, Defence, and Work Speed. These stats are determined by a combination of the Pal’s base species stats, its current level, and its Individual Values (IVs). Understanding how these interact is crucial for building the most powerful combat or work team possible.
Stats scale with level using the following formula: Final Stat = (Base Stat + IV Bonus) × Level Multiplier × Passive Skill Multiplier. This means higher IVs and better passive skills have a compounding effect on final stats — making breeding for IVs and skills an important long-term strategy. You can also use our Palworld Breeding Calculator to plan the best combinations.
Stat Calculation Example
| Pal | Level | Base HP | IV (HP) | Passive Bonus | Final HP |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lamball | 1 | 70 | 0 | None | 70 |
| Lamball | 30 | 70 | 50 | None | ~1,820 |
| Frostallion | 50 | 120 | 100 | +Legend | ~8,640 |
| Jetragon | 55 | 110 | 100 | +Legend | ~9,240 |
What Are Individual Values (IVs)?
Individual Values (IVs) are hidden stat modifiers that range from 0 to 100 for each stat. Two Pals of the same species at the same level can have completely different final stats depending on their IVs. IVs are randomly assigned when a Pal spawns or hatches — which is why breeding multiple generations is the best way to get perfect IV Pals.
Passive Skills That Affect Stats
| Passive Skill | Stat Affected | Bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Legend | Attack, Defence, Speed | +20% all three |
| Ferocious | Attack | +20% |
| Musclehead | Attack | +30% (work speed -50%) |
| Brave | Attack | +10% |
| Burly Body | Defence | +20% |
| Artisan | Work Speed | +50% |
| Work Slave | Work Speed | +30% (attack -30%) |
