WoW Arena Points Formula Explained

The official Blizzard arena points formula published February 18, 2026 for TBC Anniversary Season 1:

p = ((1651.94 − 475) / (1 + 2,500,000 × e^(−0.009 × r)) + 475) × 1.5

Where r = your team rating. After calculating base points (p), bracket multipliers are applied:

  • 2v2 Arena: 76% of base points (×0.76 multiplier)
  • 3v3 Arena: 88% of base points (×0.88 multiplier)
  • 5v5 Arena: 100% of base points (×1.00 multiplier, full value)

Arena Points Requirements & Eligibility

Minimum Games Required

You must complete at least 10 rated games in a bracket during the week to be eligible for points in that bracket. Games played count from Tuesday reset to Tuesday reset (US servers) or Wednesday reset (EU servers).

How Points Are Awarded

  • Points are awarded weekly at server reset (Tuesday US, Wednesday EU)
  • You receive points from your single highest-yielding bracket only
  • Points from multiple brackets do NOT stack
  • Rating is based on your team rating, not personal rating
  • You must be on the roster when points are distributed

Arena Calculator FAQ

How many arena points do I get per week in TBC?

It depends on your team rating and bracket. At 1500 rating you earn 984 points/week in 2v2, 1140 in 3v3, or 1295 in 5v5. At 2000 rating you earn 1485 (2v2), 1721 (3v3), or 1955 (5v5). Use the calculator above for your exact rating.

Does the TBC Anniversary Arena Calculator use the official formula?

Yes. This calculator uses the official Blizzard TBC Anniversary Season 1 arena points formula published on February 18, 2026, with bracket multipliers of 0.76 (2v2), 0.88 (3v3), and 1.00 (5v5).

Do arena points stack across brackets?

No. You receive points from whichever eligible bracket gives you the most. If you play 2v2 at 1600 (1075 points) and 3v3 at 1500 (1140 points), you receive 1140 points total — not both combined.

What rating do I need for 2000 arena points per week?

Approximately 2000–2050 rating in 5v5, 2150–2200 in 3v3, or 2300–2350 in 2v2 to earn around 2000 points per week.

How long does it take to get full arena gear?

A full arena set costs approximately 15,000–20,000 points. At 1500 rating (~1300 points/week) it takes 12–15 weeks. At 1800+ rating (~1700 points/week) it takes 9–12 weeks.

Does personal rating affect arena points?

No. Arena points are calculated from your team rating only. Personal rating determines which gear you can purchase with your points but does not affect how many points you earn weekly.

What percentage of my weekly cap did I earn?
